Swine Flu comes in a variety of ways!

Tuesday night Noah came in at 5 p.m after playing outside with his friends. Upon coming into the kitchen where I was preparing dinner, he was white as a sheet.

"Noah are you okay?"

"I'm okay. Just really, really tired."

He asked if he could lie down. This from my ten-year-old son who never, ever, ever, ever, ever wants to sleep.

I knew something was up.

For the next 16 hours, Noah slept. I kept waking him up to check for a fever, but he never had one. I allowed him to be late for school the next day. He seemed okay, but still a little tired.

When I picked him up later, he said, "Mom, I feel great!"

Yesterday morning I woke up and felt as if a train had hit me. Headache and I was just exhausted. I've slept around 18 hours of the last 26. But now? I feel great!

But John woke up this morning and you guessed it, he was achy and exhausted.

I talked to two moms about this and they told me that their kids had the exact same symptoms. One of them asked the doctor about it and he told her it was the mildest form of swine flu without the fever. But it gets worse if you don't allow yourself rest.

So if you or your loved ones feel tired, don't shake it off. Go to bed! If you have what we had, a day or so later, you will feel great!!!

Great advice. Extra rest is the best thing you can do for your body. So glad you are feeling better.

I tend to sleep as soon as I feel like I might get sick. So glad that that is powerful against H1N1. Now, I have to ask, is that a pic of a dead pig? He looks like he's smiling and giving a wary eye. I chose to think he was alive and a smartee, rather than think he was dead. Ew.

Just a word - Sharen told me that she was exhausted for a day, slept, felt better and then a week later WHAM! She was hit again and it stayed for 4 days. Yikes. The more we compare notes the better, I think!

Denise, the pig is not dead, just exhausted. That's why I chose this picture. :0) I felt exactly how he looks. And I am alive and a smartee! :0)

Denise, if the pig were dead it would have X's where the eyes are. :)

Thanks for sharing this info, Robbie. I hadn't heard anything like this yet. Thanks for the heads up -- and hope you guys don't get hit with the harder variety in a few days!

My daughter stayed home from school on Monday because she was really tired and had a headache. She also had a fever. She laid around all day and the next morning she felt fine. I never considered it might be a super mild swine flu. Here's to hoping it doesn't come back!

Also, I love the pig!
